Seed Potato Varieties

Each variety of potato has an best "end use".  Whilst the best end use is determined by the attributes of the variety, this does not limit it's application to that end use.  Some varieties which may be deemed good for the fresh market, may also serve well as a crisper etc.

The 2007 list of Victorian potato varieties, as issued by the VicDPI can be viewed here.  This table also shows the PCN resistance of each variety.  Further consultation with growers of these varieties will assist with your decision making regarding it's growing characteristics and physical attributes.
